I hope you like burpees! There are a lot of them this week. They are an awesome exercise that works almost every muscle in the body and they get your heart rate up, adding a cardio element to this workout.
My obsession with smoothie bowls continues! This Chocolate Protein Smoothie Bowl is so creamy and delicious, and it can be made dairy and gluten free depending on the protein powder you choose to use.
Hello! It’s that time of the week again. The weekend is over and time to get ready for the week ahead. I had a good week of training again. I have been feeling strong this week, as you will see, in the gym on Tuesday, I managed to get out 5 chinups on my first set, then 2 sets of 4, I was so stoked with that! The most chinups I have ever done, then on Thursday I somehow got 2 sets of 5 then 1 set of 4, I really surprised myself with that effort!
Happy Valentines Day! Or Galentines Day (if you are a Leslie Knope fan). I hope you have a good one whether you celebrate Valentines day or not.
What is the best thing to have for dinner on a hot summer night? Curry...... sounds a bit crazy doesn't it, but I love satay so much. This recipe has been a staple of ours for a long time now, it's so easy to make. I actually got the inspiration for this dish from a low fat cook book I had a long time ago, which used pork instead of chicken, rice, and low fat evaporated milk with coconut essence instead of coconut milk - to cut back on the fat, because, you know, eating fat will make you fat right?
Hello! I hope you had a great weekend. I had a pretty big one this week. On Friday, we headed down to Tweed Heads, Chris raced in the Tweed Coast Enduro on Saturday. We came home that afternoon, and this morning I had my first pretty good hit out in quite a while at the training event held by the triathlon club. It was a 1km swim, 30km ride and 10km run. I was happy with how it all went, even the run wasn’t too bad.
My favorite thing to have for breakfast at the moment is smoothie bowls, actually not just for breakfast, some times for dessert as well, I am a bit obsessed with them actually - especially since it has been so hot here. So today I am sharing with you five delicious recipes.
The workout I have got for you today is a little bit more cardio based than usual with the skater jumps and lunge jumps guaranteed to get your heart rate up, as well as the pushups and step ups for a bit of strength work as well.
What a week it's been, somehow between punctures, crazy humidity and pouring rain for the last three days, I still managed to get in a really good week of training. I had to cut Wednesday's ride short, due to my fourth puncture in about three weeks. I think I need to put new rim tape on my wheels but I have just been too lazy!
